Our Computer and Electronics Recycling Process

Collection:

Whether you have 10 items or 10,000 items, we are able to have our professional pickup crew come in one of our box trucks to your company or organization’s facility to remove the old computer and electronic equipment.  Our service includes our crew doing the removal, barcode tagging of the data containing devices, and loading of the equipment onto our truck.  You don’t have to lift a finger!

Not only do we service the midwest, we also have the capabilities to service other parts of the United States.

To schedule a pickup for your business or organization or to get a free, competitive price quote, call or e-mail us.  We have large corporations and government references available upon request.

We can customize our services to fit your company's needs. Let us know how we can help!

We have public drop off days where you can bring your old computer and electronic equipment to our facility.  Click here to find out more information regarding public drop off days.

After the computer and electronic items leave your company or organization’s facility, all liabilities are transferred to Green Wave Computer Recycling.  When the items arrive at our facility, each data containing item is scanned into our database to ensure the recycling and data destruction process is tracked.  The hard drives are pulled from the computers then the platters are drilled (which can also be done onsite at your facility) to disable any information from being recovered.  The hard drives are then thrown into a larger container to be shredded.

The asset tags and company ID tags are then removed from devices to ensure that your company or organization’s identity is unknown to our recycling partners who refine the plastics and metals.

Once the recycling process is completed, a "Data destruction & proper recycling certification" is mailed to you to keep on file.

De-manufacturing Process:

The de-manufacturing process at our Indianapolis location results in clean, mixed plastics, various metals, glass, and pcd boards.  The sorted materials are refined at various recycling partners here in the United States and put back into the manufacturing stream.  We even recycle paper and cardboard!  We strive to meet our “0% landfill” policy to ensure that no toxic materials reach our landfills!

We do not export your electronics for de-manufacturing.

For more information regarding our de-manufacturing process, please contact us.
