Green Wave's Computer Recycling and Electronics Recycling Process

Collection:

Whether you have 10 items or 10,000 items, we are able to have our professional pickup crew come in one of our box trucks to your company or organization’s facility to remove the old computers, laptops, and electronic equipment.  Our service includes our crew doing the removal, barcode tagging of the data containing devices, and loading of the equipment onto our truck.  You don’t have to lift a finger!

We provide your company with complete data and environmental compliance documentation after the items have been processed.

Green Wave Computer Recycling is based in Indianapolis, Indiana and has the logistics to serve national accounts.

To schedule a pickup for your business or organization or to get a free, competitive price quote, call or e-mail us.  We have large corporations and government references available upon request.

We can customize our services to fit your company's needs. Let us know how we can help!

We have public drop off days where you can bring your old computer, laptop, and electronic equipment to our facility. There is no fee for you to do this and we will even help you unload your vehicle!

Click here to find out more information regarding public drop off days.

Items dropped off at our location on public recycling days are processed in the exact same secure process that we use for our business and government clients. We destroy all your personal information and data. You can get rid of your old electronics Monday - Friday 8:00 - 3:00 and Saturdays 8:00 - Noon.

After the computer and electronic items leave your company or organization’s facility, all liabilities are transferred to Green Wave Computer Recycling.  When the items arrive at our facility, each data containing item is scanned into our database (can be done at your location before physical removal) to ensure the recycling and data destruction process is tracked.  The hard drives are pulled from the computers and physically destroyed (which can also be done onsite at your facility) to disable any information from being recovered.  The hard drives are then thrown into a larger container to be shredded for metal recovery.
We process cell phones and other data containing devices in the same manner.

Asset tags and company ID tags can be removed from devices to ensure that your company or organization’s identity is unknown to our recycling partners who refine the plastics and metals. This brings peace of mind for clients whom want to remain anon
ymous. This is one of the many ways that Green Wave Computer Recycling is able to better serve clients.

Once the recycling process is completed, a "Data destruction & proper recycling certification" is mailed to you to keep on file.

We know once you experience the Green Wave process you will NEVER want to switch to another company for the proper disposal of your items. We are a privately held (owner operated) business that constantly attempts to improve our recycling flow process to better service our existing customers and future customers.

We built Green Wave to address two issues that exist when disposing of old electronic equipment:

1. Complete secure management of data security:
- This is achieved by 24/7 security monitoring at our facility
- Strict employee access/movement protocols
- Proper recording of serial numbers
- Quality control checks on internal processes
- Highest quality walk through metal detectors for exiting our processing facility, and complete audits done by various third party auditors at our facility each year.

2. Proper environmental treatment of waste products that enter our processing plant (see Recycling Process section below).

The de-manufacturing process at our Indianapolis location results in clean plastics, mixed plastics, various base metals, metal alloys, glass, cardboard/paper products, and other commodities that are ready for re-melt and re-grind.  The sorted materials are refined at various recycling partners here in the United States & Europe and put back into the manufacturing stream. We strive to meet our “0% landfill” policy to ensure that no toxic materials reach our landfills!

We do not export your electronics for de-manufacturing. We run disassembly lines in our 40,000+ square foot Indianapolis location 6 days a week. Our facility is inspected many times per year by various government and corporate auditors to verify the integrity of our electronics recycling process. We have done all the due diligence so your company's choice for a recycling partner becomes easy.

Potential medium & large business clients are welcome to tour our facility and learn more about how we can completely solve your disposal needs.

For more information regarding our de-manufacturing process, or to schedule a pickup, please contact us.
